内容和介绍:Vector-borne diseases are infectious diseases caused by pathogens and parasites  in human populations that are transmitted to people by blood-sucking arthropods,  such as mosquitoes, ticks and fleas. They include some of the world’s most  destructive diseases, for instance, malaria, and dengue fever. According to WHO,  vector-borne diseases account for more than17% of all infectious diseases,  causing more than 1 million deaths annually. In this talk, by adopting the  nested approach, a vector host structured model coupling the within-host  dynamics with the between mosquito-human dynamics has been first formulated. The  existence and stability of the equilibrium of the coupled models are analyzed.  The impact of within-host malaria dynamics on malaria transmission in  population-level is explored. Based on facts that the acquired immunity  characteristics of malaria within host individuals, a size-structured malaria  model with immune response of the host is also formulated. The existence and  stability of equilibrium in the system and the effect of the immunity status on  malaria transmission dynamics are investigated, respectively.
